Bar refurbishment with prefabricated fit-out.

Originally commissioned to launch a new concept bar for Oxford’s city centre, extensive research into the brand image was carried out, including potential for a chain of bars throughout the country. The space was completely reorganised and extended to create a suite of rooms flowing through a series of full height and window openings.

Three years on and with the huge success of the venue, heostudio was approached again to refit the bar. Using stainless steel and fibre-cement panels usually associated with external cladding, hardwearing materials were utilised to cope with the intensive use of the bar, but carefully detailed to maintain the lounge atmosphere. As the bar was open for business, the entire fit-out was prefabricated offsite and completed in just four days.
